First and foremost, it's great to see you back! I hope you're doing (relatively) okay, all things considered. I was dragged to Hacks kicking and screaming. By the end, I was *all in*. As for the catfish show, we watched it at work in the break room, and let's just say I was not expecting the ending.
Also: Huge shout-out for the He Hate Me reference. That's a deep cut & I'm here for it.
Sorry to hear about your health troubles Eric, hope things improve soon. If you liked Full Swing you might enjoy the Last Chance U series if you haven't seen it. I have been holding off on the Marty doc because it made me emotional just watching the trailer. The Amy Bradley disappearance was a weird one, really felt for the family with all of the possible threads.
I just wonder if you’d be interested in alternative/holistic ideas to try for your health?
If so, check out these guys on substack: Surviving Healthcare by Dr. Robert Yoho, and The Universal Antidote by Curious Outlier. Dr. Pierre Kory also has a great substack. All of them have information about Chlorine Dioxide, which NASA called “The Universal Antidote”. DMSO is another option that may help, and all of them have written about that as well.
We’ve learned a bunch from all of them, and have seen sometimes literal dramatic results.
I tend to prefer natural approaches vs pharmaceuticals. The neurologist wanted to just put me on a daily pill for the headaches. That's doesn't fix anything and could just introduce new problems. I'll look these guys up, appreciate the recs!
Welcome back, Mr. Kottaaaaiirree! WE ARE OLD! Missed you my friend. I'm so sorry to hear that the brain glitching continues and hope that all starts to sort itself out very soon. However, your penchant for frequent napping and inability to remember what you had for breakfast means you are an IDEAL presidential candidate! Vote None of the Above! :) For sure we are going to GET INTO IT on Hacks! I am mourning this show; final episode stuck the landing; last two seasons not as strong as the first two, but still...will always remain a favorite series. And if you're not watching Widow's Bay like everyone is bugging you to, try and give that a go as your soup brain will allow. It is VERY good! Keep mending my friend....rooting for you! XO
I have not started Widow's Bay yet... :D It IS on the list! Super sad that Hacks is over. If you're looking for a fix, I highly recommend the finale Q&A: https://youtu.be/qczPoTocVhU?si=2HoBU8C19067m6yb
It was nice to hear about how the cast felt about it ending, and to see they loved it as much as we do. Thanks for the good vibes, I'm doing better little by little. Hopefully by 2027 I'll be fine lolol
It was nice to read this - I've missed your writing. For what it's worth, I had a mystery ailment that neither the neurologist nor the neurosurgeon (or any other doctor or specialist) could figure out. The neurologist sent me to PT and, after a slow start, everything started getting better. That was three years ago and I'm still doing the exercises... and still feeling great. Hopefully, PT will keep helping you too!
Uhg, Eric I’m sorry you are going through it. Mystery ailments really do a number on you. I hope the PT helps and you come through soon. Have you watched Widow’s Bay? It’s hands down the best show I’ve seen in years. The less you know going in the better, but it’s unique —genre bending with an amazing cast. Highly recommend.
You are the second person to mention Widow's Bay in this comment thread! It's on my list. :D The best show you've seen in years? That's some high praise. I'll prioritize it, thanks for the rec and the feel-good vibes. Hope Amsterdam is treating you well!

Thanks Kevin! Glad someone appreciates my deep and irrelevant XFL knowledge. lmao

Last Chance U is on my watchlist! :D I'll definitely bump it to the top, thanks for the rec. :D
Hey there!
I’m so sorry to hear about your health struggles!

PT is the miracle cure! :D
Glad you’re back!
Good to be back my friend. I still haven't seen Mando & Grogu... smh
So nice to see you writing again. Documentaries are my go to especially in the evening when I want to relax.

Good to see you writing while treading water. There is definitely peace within documentaries - one more step on a path to wellness.
I’ve given up on full swing. Similar to Hard Knocks, everyone is so guarded you don’t feel like you’re getting to see the real them.
I watch Hard Knocks every year. Some years are better than others. Really loved the Lions year for obvious reasons. :)
If my birds were in it I’d definitely watch
And season 4 is 4 episodes….wtf?
Hard to even call it a “season”
This is the first I'm hearing about this. That sucks!
